Our school delivers a kindergarten program using the Queensland kindergarten learning guideline with additional support from Foundations for Success.
Kindergarten (kindy) is a part-time educational program for children in the year before Prep (the first year of school in Queensland). Kindy is a place where your child will make friends, explore new environments, build confidence and have fun learning. Kindy offers meaningful experiences and interactions that support your child's early learning, wellbeing and development, now and into the future.
Our school's kindergarten program will build upon your child's interests, ideas and strengths to support their holistic learning and development. Children will have opportunities to:
- communicate ideas, feelings and needs
- develop relationships, collaborate and cooperate with others
- build independence and confidence through decision-making
- express ideas and feelings creatively through art, dance and dramatic play
- build on their knoweldge and explore new ideas
- develop foundational reading, writing and numeracy skills.
