Welcome to Winton State School
We are a proud small rural school, with a big heart. As the principal of Winton State School, it is my priority to ensure every student feels safe and comfortable at school, while receiving a high quality education. We have a focus on the whole child, this includes social & emotional learning and support, behaviour and academic outcomes.
We are privileged to be able to offer the full spectrum of education at our school. As a Kindy to 12 school, we have students from 3 years of age through to 18 years of age onsite every day. This is a lovely experience for all students, fostering such a strong sense of community across the campus.
Winton State School is geographically remote and this provides a great lifestyle for our students to grow up in. We work hard to ensure our students have access to the same learning experiences as students in bigger cities, and are not disadvantaged due to their remote location. We have strong connections with local business, council and government agencies to provide a range of opportunities for students.
Our biggest asset is our wonderful staff. We have a dedicated, experienced and passionate team here at Winton SS. They work tirelessly to ensure every student is supported and successful in their individual learning journey. We work to build a positive culture for learning, and create a school that students are proud of and enjoy attending. Our staff are involved in various aspects of the wider community and are well respected by all.
As we 'Advance with Honour' at Winton State School, we are continually amazed by our wonderful students and community.
