Preparatory
year
Education before
entering school promotes the child’s self-confidence and helps each child to
learn to work happily in an educational setting. Through activities such as block building,
sand play, dramatic play, cutting, painting, and music, we aim to help children
develop the skills they will need for their future years.
The Prep year
emphasises the phonetic, pre-reading/writing, pre-maths skills and activities
which will enable a smoother transition for children to Year 1.
Prep provides a
service for identifying children with special needs. The School Health Nurse
and Speech Therapist are some who visit.
